Eli is bored, so she sings to cheer herself up and daydreams. She is in love with trains. It is her dream that one day she will drive a real train engine, pulling a long line of carriages, bolting like lightning and negotiating steep inclines, deep chasms and long dark tunnels on its winding track. But for the time being she is too small, too weak, lacking knowledge, and probably ... too much of a little girl. So, she sings and dreams about trains as she watches them from her window whenever one passes by. When they are not running, Eli gets particularly bored, and Max/Maks feels sorry for her. Her big brother likes to tease her from time to time, but he prefers to cheer her up, because it makes Eli laugh like sleigh bells, she is all a-glow, making him happy too. And when Eli feels particularly sad, Maks/Max invites her on a magical train journey. This interactive production about two children spurred by boredom into creative storytelling spills out from the real world into an imaginary one by way of curiosity, perseverance, care, solidarity and compassion.
Suitable for children from the age of three.
Eli and Max are spurred by boredom into creative storytelling and taken on an imaginative journey.
